I’m happy to report high point after high point on days 3-6 as my GREAT SAND DUNES MASSACRE tour rolls on through Colorado.

– Day 3: A great evening with owner Hannah and her loyal crew at Hand in Hand Books in Mancos. (Side note: the uber-cool Mesa Verde Literary Festival will be held in equally cool Mancos on Sat. Sept. 5, featuring a whole bunch of Torrey House Press authors, including me!)

– Day 4: A great visit at Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative in Alamosa with Fred Bunch, chief of resource management for Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve as well as the inspiration for the character Frank in GREAT SAND DUNES MASSACRE. Fred bought a copy for the park superintendent, to whom I apologized in my inscription for the fictional deadliness I brought to her seemingly peaceful park.

– Day 5/midday: Another great signing hosted by owner Tommie at Covered Treasures in Monument, with lots of smiles on familiar returning faces.

– Day 5/evening: A fun tag-team talk and signing at Inkberry Books in Niwot with Kathleen Donnelly, with props for her 2-books-a-year output–including her excellent latest, BURIED LIES.

– Day 6: A big ol’ bunch of folks at Douglas County Libraries in Castle Rock, attracted by all-fun-all-the-time librarian Lisa Casper, with owner Wendy from booming Books Are Awesome in Parker on hand with an equally big ol’ stack of my books.

The tour continues through this week, including Wed. at 6 pm at Tattered Cover Book Store on Colfax in Denver, where I’ll be talking craft with four incredible fellow mystery/thriller authors: Carter Wilson, Author, Barbara Nickless, Author, David Heska Wanbli Weiden, and Cynthia Swanson, Author.

Everyone welcome all along the way!
