I was honored to introduce authors David Heska Wanbli Weiden and Erika Wurth to their fans at my hometown Maria’s Bookshop here in Durango, CO, on July 15.
David just released WISDOM CORNER, the phenomenal followup to his equally phenomenal debut, and monstrous bestseller, mystery/thriller WINTER COUNTS, winner of just about every book award on the planet when it was released in 2021.
Erika is the author of two fine mysteries as well, WHITE HORSE and THE HAUNTING OF ROOM 904. She did a great job interviewing David at Maria’s about his work and the new WISDOM CORNER.
I’ve long respected David and Erika, two of the finest human beings on the planet, and the work they are doing to promote Indigenous writers and authors. It was special treat to introduce them and champion their work at Maria’s.
