I had the great pleasure of introducing Kevin Fedarko and his new book A Walk in the Park, currently No. 11 on the New York Times bestseller list(!), to 250 kindred souls on behalf of Maria’s Bookshop at Durango Public Library last night.

Kevin’s tale of his end-to-end transect of the Grand Canyon through Grand Canyon National Park, with National Geographic photographer Pete McBride, is not to be missed–including ongoing threats to the canyon and the organizations and people working to thwart them, like the Grand Canyon Trust and American Rivers’ Sinjin Eberle (who masterfully led the post-talk Q&A with Kevin).
