I was thrilled to return to The Poisoned Pen Bookstore — biggest and best mystery bookstore on the planet — in Scottsdale, AZ, Oct. 16 with always wonderful fellow mystery author Margaret Mizushima, whose nine-books-and-counting Timber Creek K-9 mysteries should not be missed!
Patrick King of The Poisoned Pen interviewed Margaret and me, as we discussed our latest mysteries — GATHERING MIST in Margaret’s case and DEATH VALLEY DUEL in mine — before a lively live audience of friends and fans, and The Pen’s massive online audience.

Two more stops to come later this week on my Mini Fall Tour for DEATH VALLEY DUEL:
I’ll be a Presenting Author at the 2024 Durango Literary Festival this Wednesday, 10/16, at 6 p.m. at the Durango Public Library, where I’ll be in conversation with No. 1 Maria’s Bookshop bestselling author John Peel.
And finally, I’ll be appearing at the Bluff Arts Festival in Bluff, UT, on Sunday, Oct. 20, 10:30 a.m. at Cow Canyon Coffee House as a Featured Author for the 2024 Utah Humanities Book Festival.
